How does Sleep Cycle App works?
The application itself is capable of monitoring your movement while you are sleeping with the help of your smartphone’s accelerometer. Due to the accelerometer’s sensitivity, it is believed that it has the capability to tell if you are wide awake, currently in deep sleep or dreaming.
Nevertheless, the Sleep Cycle app works by finding the optimal time to wake you up during a 30-minute window that coincides with the time you set your alarm. The app claims that the alarm clock will wake you during your lightest sleep phase which wakes you in a good mood.
